Mar 4 - At Sea (Interview with singing Maítre D' Ken Byrne)

SANDY SHORE : I’ve met some great folks on board this ship since we departed Ft. Lauderdale on January 31st. New friends that I’m sure I will know long after the ship docks at our final destination in San Francisco, CA.
One of my favorites on board is Gold Pearl Senior Maitre D’, Ken Byrne. The affable, Irish crooner who sounds strikingly like Frank Sinatra woos crowds over nightly with world-class management of the nearly 1,200 person capacity dining room as well as with outstanding song and entertainment.
The “Singing Maitre D’” as he’s often called, performs most every night for two dinner seatings. With his good looks, charm and freshly pressed tuxedos, he wouldn’t be out of place in one of the fun, fast-paced Ocean movies starring George Clooney, Brad Pitt and the whole lot.
A few nights ago, we talked Ken into taking a few minutes out of his busy schedule, in between meetings, phone calls, scheduling and running us our supplies of soy milk to sit down and chat for a late night Podcast recording session in Studio 6453.
I hope you enjoy it! ~ss
